Tara Truett

Tara Truett has led the program as Director for the past twelve years. She has provided steady leadership and a clear vision for its growth. She oversees daily operations, grant writing, tutor training, and the development of resources. These resources support learners and tutors across all program sites.

A retired teacher and school administrator, Tara brings deep experience in education. She holds a strong belief in individualized learning. She is committed to meeting each learner where they are. She works to ensure the program remains welcoming, responsive, and effective. This philosophy is central to the program’s one-to-one tutoring model throughout Madison County.

Tara also provides coordination for the Oneida area. This work includes services offered through the public library and the Gorman Center.
